What separates Mike Over Fitness from others?
We don't focus on short term fixes.
Why?
Because you will never get the body you want if you are not having healthy ranges of hormones and blood levels. Your body relies on the systematic function of so many important pieces, so failing to stop and take a look at possible roadblocks can just make your fitness regimen harder and possibly more dangerous.
The average man has his testosterone drop up to 10% every year after the age 30. Most of this is caused by stress and environmental factors that contribute to desensitizing your metabolic pathway, leading to fatigue, depression, anxiety and a complete loss of motivation. As men, we naturally want to solve all problems and hide our emotions, while continuing to push through emotional and physical distress.
While this can seem like the “manly” thing to do…quite honestly, it’s going to end up making things much, much worse. Chronic stress and fatigue will begin creating inflammation and potentially backfire when it comes to your fitness and training. So you ultimately could be doing MORE harm while training! That is why 99% of the magazine workouts you see are set up to hurt you in the long run. I get it, most of us men have a lot on our shoulders. We want to take on as much as possible while holding our “front.”
Unfortunately, this behavior is leaving your family and work behind, while also making fat loss harder to happen. I’ve been there.
At 32 I was stressed to the point I would go to bed shaking with the anxiety of not getting things done I wanted. My testosterone levels plummeted to the 150s from years of neglecting self-care and my health. On the outside, I might have looked healthy…
But on the inside, I was sicker than some vastly obese men I even worked with. I had the mind of an elderly person and the body to match. Everyday I had to crawl up my stairs and make work excuses to not get up to play with my kids because I was too tired to move.
My motivation to train became non-existent. There was no intent, no energy, no purpose. All this left me puzzled until I figured out why and how to fix the effects of stress and a man’s life….especially with kids and demanding jobs.

Owner of Over-Achieve Fitness in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania for seven years, which has been Franklin County’s top rated fitness facility for 4 years straight! Mike is one of the industry’s brightest minds and has innovative techniques to work and train with every type of client.
His experience ranges from helping thousands of local residents lose weight to working with local athletes, as well as, privately working with college athletes and professionals.
